August traditionally is a time when Orchestra “Riga” in collaboration with Latvian organists invites classical music lovers to enjoy summer concerts at Riga Cathedral.

Prelude and Fugue in E-Flat Major (St. Anne, BWV 552) – wind setting by D. Hunsberger

Aria “Welt und Himmel, nehmt zu Ohren” from St. Mark Passion (BWV 247)

Claude Debussy (1862 – 1918 )

“Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune” (“Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun”) wind setting by M. Bass

Cycle “Three Nocturnes” – “Nuages” (“Clouds”)

“La Cathédrale engloutie” (“The Sunken Cathedral”) – organ solo

Antonín Dvořák (1841 – 1904)

“Aria Měsíčku na nebi” (“Song to the Moon”) from opera “Rusalka”.

Symphony No. 9  (“From the New World”), Op. 95 – II Largo
