Lāčplēsis Day marks the greatest victory in the history of the Latvian army. Every year, on 11 November, Latvians pay tribute to their soldiers who set out to defend the newly founded Latvian State in a War of Independence (1919).

Remembering our heroes, Orchestra RIGA in a collaboration with the Latvian National Opera Choir’s male group and soloists is going to perform patriotic songs once sang by Latvian soldiers. Concert programme “Latvian Worrior Songs” was first presented in 2018.
