CD 2019
Our newest CD “Cherished” provides a great insight into latest and best music of latvian composers written for Orchestra RIGA.

“I am pleased that we can add our latest achievement to the list of sound recordings issued by Orchestra RĪGA – our album Cherished. I believe that it illustrates one of our collective’s most essential missions – commissioning and premiering new music by Latvian composers. The musical language and artistic content of the album tracks are just as diverse and distinctly Latvian as their creators – composers Ilona Breģe, Vilnis Šmīdbergs, Andris Sējāns and Jēkabs Jančevskis. In my view, the contemporary repertoire for symphonic bands is still in its development stage and it is important for us to participate in this international process with our own, unique contribution, presenting composers and performers from our own land.”
