MAESTRO – PIANO – RIGA

The concert program, prepared by the Orchestra RIGA and maestro Raimonds Pauls, is romantic, emotional, and magnificent.

Soloists Inga Šļubovska – Kancēviča, Ance Krauze and Daumants Kalniņš will perform several songs featuring Austra Skujiņa’s poetry. Vilnis Šmīdbergs, Latvia’s best orchestra music arranger, created an arrangement of themes, which are featured in the play “Meža gulbji” (Forest Swans), for the brass band. The program also includes melodies from the film “Dāvanas pa telefonu” (Presents Over the Phone).

Composer Raimonds Pauls will be playing the piano.
